HRH Pays Dividend For 19th Straight Year

NU Online News Service, Dec. 1, 12:10 p.m. EST?Hilb Rogal & Hobbs Company said its board of directors declared a quarterly dividend of 10.5 cents per share, payable Dec. 31 to shareholders of record as of Dec. 15.[@@]

The Richmond, Va.-based insurance broker said it has paid cash dividends continuously and increased its dividend annually for 19 consecutive years.

For the period ended Dec. 31, 2003, HRH said it's 10-year average annual compound growth rate in dividends was 5 percent. In May 2004, the HRH board of directors increased the quarterly cash dividend by 13.5 percent to 10.5 cents per share, or an annual rate of 42 cents per share.
