Q.Know Technology And RSG Agree To Partner.
NU Online News Service, Sept. 15, 2:07 p.m. EDT?Q.Know Technologies Inc. of Reston, Va., a global provider of information management software, announced today it has entered into a technology partnership with RE Systems Group Inc. (RSG).[@@]
Financial terms of the agreement were not released.
RSG, based in River Edge, N.J., is a supplier of reinsurance back-end processing software and technology consulting. Key products include treaty and facultative computer-based forms for submissions, automated fax production and renewals, and online statistics.
RSG also provides its clients automated retrocessional processing, online claims processing, multi-page abstracts and aggregate deductible support.
Q.Know said that with its support of the front end for desktop management and collaboration of all electronic information, reinsurance clients are easily able to adapt their current operating environments and support existing compliance requirements without changing the way users operate.
The company said further that underwriters will no longer have to exit their Q.Know desktop environment to log into RSG to retrieve and organize data, and such data can now be exchanged between the two without time-consuming delays or system overloads and shut downs.
Q.Know President and Chief Executive Officer Vineet Kalucha said his company "is pleased to formalize the relationship that both our clients have been requesting."
He added that the technology partnership "allows us to continue to leverage both the Q.Know and RSG capabilities to provide our customers the best insurance industry solution for managing unstructured data, while directly accessing our client's back-end processing system."
Q.Know resides directly on the users' desktop with Microsoft Outlook, allowing users to file, retrieve, organize, share and manage all unstructured electronic information, including e-mail, text documents, spreadsheets, presentations, PDFs, Web pages, etc.
The company said that for transaction-oriented business where instant access to complete information is critical, Q.Know simplifies and streamlines the sharing and managing of documentation/data?eliminating the need for traditional, redundant collaboration tools.
