Hurricanes Spark Allstate Floridian Downgrade
NU Online News Service, Sept. 13, 3:29 p.m. EDT?A.M. Best Co. has downgraded the financial strength rating of the hurricane-battered Allstate Floridian Insurance Group, a subsidiary of Allstate Corporation, Northbrook, Ill.[@@]
The Oldwick, N.J.-based rating service downgraded the insurer from A-minus (Excellent) to B-plus (Very Good). The ratings remain under review with negative implications.
