Fador New Weiss CEO

NU Online News Service, Aug. 23, 2:15 p.m. EDT?Weiss Ratings Inc. announced today that Bruce R. Fador, a prominent leader in Wall Street's investment research community, is joining the company as president and chief executive officer beginning Sept. 20.[@@]

Mr. Fador will be responsible for setting strategic vision and developing corporate and institutional business partnerships that further strengthen Weiss' position as a leading independent research provider.

Between 1992 and 1998, Mr. Fador was president and CEO of Thomson First Call, a distributor of research to Wall Street, where he created several new products and business units and was instrumental in the growth of the company's global online distribution network for financial research.

His career also includes tenures at Gustin Partners, an international retainer-based executive search firm, and WorldStreet, a software solutions provider serving the securities industry, and most recently, the Center for Financial Research & Analysis, an independent financial research organization serving the investment community.

"The vast industry knowledge and proven leadership skills that Mr. Fador brings to this position will enable Weiss Ratings to expand its presence in the institutional marketplace," said Martin D. Weiss, chairman of Jupiter, Fla.-based Weiss Ratings Inc.
