Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Established in 1984, Burch, Marcus, Pool, Krupp, Daniel & Babineaux offers personal lines and commercial property-casualty, risk management, and employee benefit insurance services to clients in the Southeast. The firm also specializes in the energy, construction and transportation industries.
Financial information on the acquisition was not released by AJG. According to the Burch, Marcus, Web site there is a list of 36 employees and six owners.
The principals and their associates will continue to operate in their Lafayette location under the direction of Mitchel Brashier, mid-south regional manager of Gallagher's brokerage services retail division.
