Kentucky Unveils Online Services For Agents
NU Online News Service, March 12, 3:30 p.m. EST? The Kentucky Office of Insurance has unveiled new interactive Web-based services to help agents cut down on their paperwork.[@@]
Previously, agents in Kentucky could use the insurance office's Web site only to view their personal profiles?such as licenses, exams, continuing-education courses and financial-responsibility records.
The site's enhanced features include a variety of interactive tools?allowing agents to renew licenses, complete address corrections, request certification/clearance letters, schedule or reschedule exams, order copies of the insurance code, request replacement or additional licenses, correct information, and request the voluntary surrender of licenses.
"We are very excited about bringing these new electronic services to our agents. It is now incumbent upon the office of insurance and the agent community to take full advantage of these cost- and labor-saving tools," said Glenn Jennings, acting executive director at the Kentucky Office of Insurance.
Mr. Jennings said also his office plans to launch additional Web-based services for potential agents, business entities, consumers and insurers. The site address is https://doi.ppr.ky.gov/Kentucky.
