Ocean Cargo Certs Now On A Travelers Web Site

According to Hartford, Conn.-based Travelers, this new onlinesystem allows agents, brokers and insureds the ability to:
? Easily enter information directly onto the onlinecertificate;

? View or void previously issued certificates; and,

? Create customized reports of certificate data.

Jerry Minichiello, national director, Travelers Ocean Marine,said the online Ocean Cargo Certificate issuance capability "allowsagents, brokers and policyholders to conduct business quickly andefficiently."

Ocean cargo insurance covers various exposures related to themovement of goods. Travelers said ideal customers for the coverageinclude manufacturers and wholesalers that import and export goodssuch as metals, textiles, plastics and other consumer products.

A personalized identification number is required for agentaccess to the Travelers Ocean Cargo Certificate Issuance System,the company said.
