PCI Hires Ex-Legislator To Lobby Louisiana

NU Online News Service, Jan. 29, 11:32 a.m.EST?The Property Casualty Insurers Association of Americaannounced that former Louisiana State Representative CharlesMcMains Jr., R-Baton Rouge, has joined as the group's local counselin Louisiana.[@@]

"Charles will play an important role in representing ourmembers' interests in the state capital," said Greg LaCost,regional manager and counsel for PCI. The association said itsmember companies write 36 percent of the total Louisianaproperty-casualty insurance market. PCI, based in Des Plaines,Ill., was formed Jan. 8 when the National Association ofIndependent Insurers and the Alliance of American Insurersmerged.
