ASCnet Tech Conference Is Slated For New Orleans In Sept.
Applied Systems Client Network (ASCnet), the user group for insurance agents and brokers utilizing Applied Systems technology, announced that its 18th Annual Technology, Education and Networking Conference, or TENCon, will be held September 10-13 at the New Orleans Hilton Riverside Hotel.
According to Altamonte Springs, Fla.-based ASCnet, some 2,000 independent agents, brokers, company representatives and industry professionals are expected to attend.
The conference will feature educational sessions for all agency personnelprincipals, owners, CSRs and systems administratorsas well as technical information seminars, a trade fair, new displays, purchasing opportunities and the chance to win valuable prizes, said ASCnet.
Each session will be taught by an ASCnet certified presenter and will cover strategic sales and marketing planning, wise investments in technology, hiring new talent, improving agency workflow, and how to directly influence critical factors impacting agency profitability, the group said.
The event will offer agency principals, producers and systems administrators a chance to network with fellow users, said ASCnet. Representatives of Applied Systems and ASCnet, as well as many partner companies and vendors, will be available to showcase new products and services at the tradeshow demo area.
Among the speakers at this years conference will be Ara Trembly, editor of Agency Technology on the Cutting Edge and technology editor for National Underwriters Property & Casualty and Life & Health Editions. Mr. Trembly will present a double session titled “Exploding Technology Myths: What You Dont Know CAN Hurt You.” The session will offer his insights into which insurance technologies are necessities, which are nice to have, and which are simply a waste of hard-earned money.
