Young Agents Get New Web Site
NU Online News Service, Aug. 20, 4:03 p.m. EDT?The Glenmont, N.Y.-based regional Professional Insurance Agents Association said that the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut Young Insurance Professionals associations have launched their new and enhanced Web sites.
PIA said the sites provide members with information and opportunities to enhance their insurance careers through programs and services. The sites are www.nyyip.org for New York; www.njyip.org for New Jersey; and www.ctyip.org for Connecticut.
Improvements to each site include: a faster, easier to navigate interface; detailed descriptions of the benefits available to YIP members; an online member application; and links to insurance industry sites. PIA said membership in YIP provides access to printed and online resources, education courses, legislative initiatives, and recreational networking opportunities.
"We are dedicated to providing tomorrow's insurance leaders with all the necessary tools for success," said Donna Chiapperino, chairperson of the NYYIP. "One of the easiest ways to accomplish this goal is to offer updated and relevant information to our members [via] our Web sites, available to them 24 hours a day, seven days a week."
"Young insurance professionals are the front runners of technology in our industry," said Charles Caruso, president of NJYIP. "They are quick to jump on the Internet to gather information, and we want to give them the opportunity to find insurance resources at one Web site."
"The new Web site better represents the professionalism of our members," said Kimberly Tompkins, president of CTYIP. "We are constantly evolving to match the growth of the young professionals within the insurance industry."
