Allstate To Sponsor NBC Sports
NU Online News Service, July 3, 4:25 p.m. EDT?Allstate Corp. in Northbrook, Ill., has agreed to be the exclusive sponsor of NBC's NBC Sports Update for the next 15 months.
NBC is showing the Allstate logo on the screen during the update segments, and NBC is mentioning Allstate while it displays the opening and closing update graphics.
The sponsorship deal took effect last weekend, during NBC's broadcast of the Wimbledon tennis tournament.
The "Allstate NBC Sports Update" also will air during NBC's weekend coverage of Notre Dame football games, NASCAR stock car races, PGA Tour golf tournaments and Triple Crown horse races.
In 2004, the Allstate update will appear during the Summer Olympic Games in Athens.
