Craig To Head Marine Underwriters Group

NU Online News Service, May 7, 11:18 a.m. EST?James M. Craig has been named president of the American Institute of Marine Underwriters, succeeding Walter M. Kramer.

Mr. Kramer retired in May after serving AIMU in various capacities for more than 40 years. Mr. Craig joined AIMU in December 1993 and since January 1994, he has served as editor of the AIMU's "Weekly Bulletin," which provides marine insurance and maritime news.

AIMU said Mr. Craig had created, developed and implemented new education and training courses for the membership: "Introduction to Ocean Marine Insurance" and "Introduction to Yacht Insurance."

Mr. Craig holds two professional designations, Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter and Associate in Risk Management. He graduated from St. Francis College, Biddeford, Maine, in 1965 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
