Mt. Washington Names President
NU Online News Service, Feb. 3, 11:11 a.m. EST? Plymouth Rock Assurance Corp. announced today the naming of Eric W. Neely as president of its Mt. Washington Assurance Corp. branch, headquartered in Concord, N.H.
Mt. Washington sells auto and homeowners' insurance in New Hampshire through independent insurance agencies.
Mr. Neely joined Plymouth Rock in Boston as a vice president in 2001, and the company said he had managed its expansion into Connecticut and a revamping of Mt. Washington's underwriting and rating.
Hal Belodoff, president and chief executive officer of Plymouth Rock and chairman of Mt. Washington, credited Mr. Neely with revamping the products and operating strategy of the company.
Before joining Plymouth Rock, Mr. Neely spent 17 years with two national insurers where he served as a general manager responsible for product design, marketing, operations and claims in several states. He also served as vice president of business development and e-commerce.
The company said Mt. Washington is rated A- [excellent] for financial strength by rating company A.M. Best.
