Insurers Must Win War For Claims Talent

Insurer claim departments are increasingly challenged by an inability to attract, train and retain top-notch employees, which results in employee turnover rates of up to 30 percent and job openings that remain unfilled for weeks.

As a result, low morale and productivity are serious problems. Uneven hiring practices coupled with inadequate training often result in spotty claims execution and overpayments.

However, these problems are resolvable, often within a short time frame, and the rewards are very real–improved loss cost containment, expense management, and customer satisfaction.
