Allstate Agents Seek Vote On Union

A captive agent group said it has collected enough petitionsignatures to move ahead with holding a vote on whether to form acollective bargaining unit for Allstate agents.

In a statement released by John Bryant, head of United ExclusiveAllstate Agents, he said the UEAA and the Officer and ProfessionalEmployees International Union, part of the AFL-CIO, have filedtheir petition with the National Labor Relations Board for a voteon forming a collective bargaining unit.
