EPLI Seminar Series Continues

The next two in a series of employment practices liability educational seminars co-sponsored by The National Underwriter Company will be held in Atlanta on June 10-11, and in Dallas on July 8-9.

The seminars are also co-sponsored by the Risk and Insurance Management Society and the Florida Workers' Compensation Institute, as well as four leading law firms. The topics covered at the seminars, which offer credit towards the continuing education requirement of the new RIMS Fellow designation, include:

The Interrelationship Between Workers' Compensation and Employment Law–presented by McConnaughhay, Duffy, Coonrod, Pope & Weaver. The discussion will focus on how to avoid high-risk workplace behaviors, as well as the claims-defense team's role in workplace risk management.

Reducing Litigation Costs–presented by Constangy, Brooks & Smith, LLC. Discussions will focus on OSHA inspections, the rights of employers, and an examination of liabilities assumed by the employer who chooses to outsource staff functions.

State-of-the-Art Practices to Minimize Litigation–presented by Baker & McKenzie. Discussions will focus on dealing with people in the workplace, with a special look at emerging exposures in the new “digital workplace.”

Investigating and Resolving Alleged Employee Misconduct–presented by Jackson, Lewis, Schnitzler & Krupman. This will include a special look at resolving sexual harassment claims against high-level executives.

For more information, and to register for any of the seminars, go to www.employment-liability.com, or call 850-425-8156.
