NAIC Adopts Model Act On Rate And Form Filings

Reno, Nev.

The National Association of Insurance Commissioners took another step toward improving speed-to-market for insurers by approving a short-form model act on form and rate filings.

The NAICs Executive Committee, meeting here last week, passed the Property and Casualty Commercial Rate and Policy Form Model Act, which had been approved in December during the association’s national meeting by the State-Based Systems (EX) Working Group (also known as “the IS3 group”).
