Sole Use Language Seen As Compromise In Credit Score Debate

The numerous proposals across the country designed to address insurers’ use of consumer credit information “cover the waterfront” in the approaches to be taken, said Rey Becker, vice president of property-casualty for the Downers Grove, Ill.-based Alliance of American Insurers.

Still, the proposals tend to fall into one of three general categories, noted Neil Allderedge, manager of state relations for the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies, based in Indiana.
