Butt Leaves XL Capital Board
|NU Online News Service, July 22, 4:14 p.m.EST?XL Capital Ltd, a provider of insurance and financialproducts based in Hamilton, Bermuda, announced today that MichaelA. Butt is resigning from its board. Mr. Butt is due to beappointed as board chairman for Axis Specialty Limited inSeptember.
|Mr. Butt, who will continue to be based in Bermuda, has been adirector for XL since 1998. He was president and chief executiveofficer of Mid Ocean Limited from 1993 to August 1998 when it wasacquired by XL.
|He also serves as a trustee with the Bermuda Biological Stationfor Research and is vice chairman of the Association of BermudaInternational Companies.
