Agents React To Bush Tax-Cut Plan


Insurance agents are praising President Bushs tax reduction package for containing provisions aimed at assisting small businesses. At the same time, agents say they hope Congress will consider one other issue that is of particular importance to them.

Justin Roth, director of federal government affairs for the Alexandria, Va.-based Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America, singled out two provisions from the presidents $670 billion proposal that would benefit some IIABA members.
