Minority Agent SupportStill Has A Ways To Go

Last year, the Independent Insurance Agentsof America touted its first joint annual convention with agentsfrom the National African-American Insurance Association and theLatin American Association of Independent Insurance Agencies. TheAlexandria, Va.-based IIAA hoped that this would be a step toward abrighter future for minority insurance agents in particular and theinsurance industry in general.

However, “to be perfectly honest [we've had] limited success,”admitted IIAA Chief Executive Officer Robert A. Rusbuldt.
