Web Boosts Services For Agents

While individual agents work to find their comfort level with the Internet, providers of insurance services are aggressively improving their own Web-based customer service offerings.

Last month, Plymouth Rock Assurance Corp. of Boston introduced Web Pay, a bill paying system for its 130 Massachusetts independent agents. Bills can be paid directly to the company over the Internet through the transfer of funds from either the customers or agencys account. The benefit is that it allows the agency to post payment and avoid late fees or cancellation.
