Insurers To Agents: Live Long And Prosper

It may be surprising to some independent agents who scoff at the way companies treat them at times, but representatives from insurer groups have nothing but positive things to say about the agent-company relationship, and in fact feel it will only grow closer in the future.

“The independent agent system is very viable and adapting to new technology, and taking advantage of it will add a lot of value to the system,” observed Julie Rochman, senior vice president of public affairs with the American Insurance Association in Washington. “Consumers love the independent agents, too.”
