AMS Services (www.ams-services.com) hasreleased PS4 Plus with hopes it will be the most robust andeasy-to-use professional survey, submission, and sales system inthe industry.

According to AMS, PS4 Plus incorporates the knowledge ofinsurance professionals to help maximize commercial salesobjectives. The company claims its product gives "instantexpertise" for every step of the commercial sales cycle.

PS4 Plus development manager Kim Smith explained the productrecognizes unique sets of risk exposures and activities associatedwith every kind of business; insurance related information iscreated for each of the more than 600 categories of businesssupported in the product. Sales tools contained within the programinclude information unique to the category selected.

Smith also said the product is primarily designed to assist withinsurance sales and not account servicing, such as policy changesand claims handling. The product was designed to follow the naturalsales cycle of most commercial business accounts. That includes theinitial survey of a business to determine its risk exposures andhow best to protect against loss, submitting the survey results toone or more insurance carriers to obtain the best possible quote,presenting the agent's recommendations to the prospect, andcompleting the sales transaction and all necessary paperwork anddocumentation to bind coverage for the new client.

"When surveying a new prospect, the better an agent understandsthe operations of a business, the better he is able to determinewhat risk exposures may be present and how best to handle thesepotential problems," Smith said. To handle this, PS4 Plus'sfeatures include an industry overview, a risk survey questionnaire,a coverage checklist, and a rating worksheet.

"PS4 Plus...creates proposals in seconds," Smith said. "Theprogram comes with more than 40 basic proposal templates that havebeen designed to maximize sales presentations. [It] includes atransfer feature whereby data that is contained within individualACORD submission files can be automatically transferred toassembled proposals to create finished presentations."

Smith said users can direct PS4 Plus to enhance presentations byincluding definitions for more than 600 coverage items. And becausethe program uses Microsoft Word for editing, proposal templates andtransferred data and definitions can be further modified.
