Why Homeowners Policy Covered Columbine

I have to disagree with the insurance industry executives who are wringing their hands over the settlement reached in the Columbine school shooting.

Apparently, the homeowners insurers of the parents of the two boys who did the shooting and the parents of another teenager who sold some of the guns involved have agreed to pay $2.5 million to the families of the victims (see NU, May 7, page 18).
