Agency Resources: Easing Retailers Jobs

A five-year-old wholesaler in Wayne, N.J. has worked to position itself in the workers’ compensation small-accounts market. Now it’s setting its sights on helping retailers enter the employment practices liability market, and helping them hold their own against outside competitors like payroll processing firms and professional employer organizations.

Ralph Lee Jr., president of Agency Resources, a division of the Tribus Companies (ultimately owned by Charlotte, N.C.-based First Union), was the third wholesale brokerage executive to sit down with National Underwriter recently to describe strategies for coping with a hardening insurance market.
