Marsh Targeted In Lloyds Suit

A suit filed against Marsh & McLennan Companies charges that the broker “deliberately or negligently concealed” the extent of likely asbestos claims when it placed general liability policies in the Lloyds marketplace for U.S. manufacturers of asbestos products.

The complaint, which was filed on May 22 in the New York State Supreme Court in New York City, amends an earlier suit filed against Marsh in November 1999. (See NU, Dec. 6, 1999).
