A man was arrested and charged with two counts of forgery - $10,000 or more and two counts of making a false statement or misrepresentation 1st offense. In 2023 and 2022, in two separate instances, the man submitted false or counterfeit certificates of liability insurance for his company to other companies in order to make bids on particular jobs for which a COI was required. The certificates were based on previously expired certificates, signed by a producer no longer employed at that company. The insurance department requested the police investigation.
