We see in our weekly metrics that users are frequently looking for forms, and many of you are using the handy ISO forms lists that we've put out. We're working on getting all the forms linked to those lists, but that will take some time. So here are a few ways to quickly find the forms you're looking for if your form hasn't been linked on the master list yet.
When you're on one of our forms lists, you can push the Ctrl button and the F button at the same time; Ctrl+F, and that will bring up a search box in the upper right-hand corner. Enter the form number or name that you're looking for there, and hit Enter. Then it will display how many times that form number appears, and the up or down arrows will take you to that reference in the document.
Another way is to click on the Forms section in the navigation bar. This will bring you to a page that looks like this:
Forms SUB-SECTIONS: Personal Lines Commercial Lines SEARCH
Note the search section; this allows you to search only within the Forms section of FC&S. You can specify by line of business, but if you want you can simply type the form number in here and click the search button, and it should bring up your form.
Another way is to go to the line of business for the form you need. For this, go to Channels in the navigation bar and, for example, select Commercial Lines. This brings up a page with the commercial lines subcategories at the top of the page; Business auto, BOP, CGL, and so forth. Click on the specific line of business you want, i.e., CGL. Once you're on this page, look below the search bar; there are two options, a box that says Sort By and another that says Filter By.
Click on the drop-down arrow in the filter by box, and filter by Forms. You have now refined your search so that you are looking at all the CGL forms. To find a particular form, you can again put the form number or name in the search bar.
Yet another way to find forms is to start with the main search bar at the top of the page. If you know the form number you can put it in, or you can put in the title of the form, or an approximation, i.e., Contents Form. Click on search, and it will bring up all articles and forms that reference Contents Form. If what you're looking for isn't on the first page, look at the left-hand side of the page in the Filter this Search section. In this section, you can filter by line of business, type of content, or both. Since you're looking for a form, we recommend that you start there. Select form and your results will now be forms related to the search term Contents Form. What you need should be right there.
As mentioned earlier, you can also go to the master forms lists. These are found in the center of the Home page, under Trending, and then in the specific lines of business. The forms lists are at the top. The forms lists show the form number, title of the form and applicable states. We are working on getting all of the forms linked to the master list.
But what if you're looking for a particular edition of the form and you don't see it, or just can't find the form you're looking for? We're happy to get it for you. Simply go to the Ask the Experts section, and send us a question asking us to get you that form. Remember, ISO has thousands of forms, and many are state-specific. We have a lot of forms, but not all of them. So if you can't find a particular form, don't fret. We are happy to pull it down and send it to you. We have to watermark it first, but know that once it's marked we'll send it to you right away. We'll also add it to the database and link it to the master forms list so that others can find it unless it's a very specific, seldom-used form.
We hope you find this tip helpful. Are there other things you might need help finding? Just let us know, we're happy to walk you through navigating FC&S with an individual web chat, and we plan to put together more navigation tips as we run across things we think you'll find helpful. We'd also love your input, so let us know what other things you would like navigation tips on.
