The Idaho Department of Insurance published a news release announcing that the workers' compensation rate in the state is set to drop in 2027.

The Department reviewed and accepted a filing from the NCCI that will result in a decrease in the rate of 0.1 percent, marking ten consecutive years of reductions. The recommendation was based on claims volume, workforce and wage data, recent rule and legislative changes, and other factors.

The rate change is effective January 1, 2027. Insurers may adopt the rates or submit proposed rates for review by the Department. Individual rates may vary by job type.

The news release can be found here.
