A man was arrested on charges of insurance fraud and forgery after filing a claim with his insurer for theft of more than $18,000 worth of personal property. In order to substantiate his claim, the man submitted bank statements as proof that he purchased the property. However, the bank statements he presented were counterfeit statements.
