The Connecticut Insurance Department published a notice informing consumers of the availability of low-interest disaster loans through the US Small Business Administration (SBA).
The SBA disaster declaration covers Fairfield County and nearby counties of New Haven and Litchfield. State residents, business, and nonprofit organizations affected by the recent flooding may be eligible for the loans and can apply online through the Loan Portal.

The application deadline for physical damage loans is December 1, 2026, and for economic injury disaster loans, July 2, 2027.
