The Oklahoma Insurance Department (OID) published a press release announcing another round of the Strengthen Oklahoma Homes program will open on Monday, October 12, 2026.

The program provides grants of up to $10,000 to construct and fortify homes, providing protection against tornadoes, windstorms, and hail. The grants help homeowners meet the FORTIFIED safety standards outlined by the Insurance Institute for Business and Home Safety (IBHS).

The next round will be open to eligible homeowners statewide. Applicants should review eligibility and documentation requirements in preparation for the opening.

Applications open at 12 p.m. CT on Monday, October 12, 2026.
