A man pleaded no contest to two misdemeanor counts of fraudulent insurance acts and was sentenced to 12 months of probation for insurance fraud. There are 30 days of underlying prison time if he violates his probation. He also must pay a fine of $500 for each count. He gave false information about the location and circumstance of an accident in order to get coverage for damages that would not have been covered under his policy.
