With a proposed effective date of 10/1/2026, ISO is revising endorsement CG 24 13 Amendment of Personal And Advertising Injury Definition. The revised endorsement will replace the 01 26 and 04 13 editions. The elimination of the specific reference to Coverage B in the 01 26 edition was inconsistent with prior editions of the endorsement and ISO's historical intent. The only difference between the newly revised edition of the form and the 04 13 edition is the removal of the paragraph 14 reference, which was the original intent of the change.
As such, when this endorsement replaces the 01 26 edition of CG 24 13, it is a reduction in coverage with respect to Coverage A. If the new endorsement replaces the 04 13 edition of CG 24 13, there is no impact on coverage as it is only a numerical reference change.
The new edition of the endorsement will specifically refer to the amendment's applicability to Coverage B, worded as follows:
With respect to Coverage B – Personal And Advertising Injury Liability, Paragraph e. under the definition of "personal and advertising injury" in the Definitions section does not apply.
For reference, Paragraph e. is as follows:
e. Damages because of "bodily injury" include damages claimed by any person or organization for care, loss of services or death resulting at any time from the "bodily injury".
