The Louisiana Department of Insurance published a news release announcing another round of the Louisiana Fortify Homes Program (LFHP).

Registrations for the next round will open at 8 AM on Monday, June 1, and will close at 5 PM on Friday, June 19. The next round will award 3,000 more grants to eligible applicants. Winners will be notified on Monday, June 22, and will receive grants of up to $10,000.

Eligible homeowners must create a profile on the LFHP website and register during the June signup period. Grants will be awarded through a lottery system, so applying on the first day or the last day of registration will yield the same chance of being selected.

The list of eligible parishes has been expanded to include Acadia, Jefferson Davis, and Lafayette. A map showing all eligible parishes can be found here.

The news release can be found here.
