The Hawaii Insurance Division published a press release announcing a public adjuster data call. The data call will help the Commissioner review public adjuster practices and compliance with the Hawaii Insurance Code.

Public adjusters are asked to provide the following:

  • A copy of the written agreements with insureds used from January 1, 2023, to December 31, 2025
  • A transaction summary of all transactions and contracts entered into from January 1, 2023, to December 31, 2025
  • A description of how the adjuster's compensation is calculated based on the services provided
  • A description of how or if compensation is paid based on claim payments or settlement amounts
  • How compensation is collected
  • Description of whether compensation differs with claims arising from declared disasters or catastrophe events
  • Copies of disclosures provided to insureds regarding the adjuster's role, compensation, or any limitation of authority

The data should be submitted electronically to [email protected] by Friday, May 15, 2026.
