The Texas Department of Insurance published a news release announcing the interest or discount rates for workers compensation, as required to be updated by the Texas Workers' Compensation Act every quarter.
Effective from April 1, 2026, through June 30, 2026, the rate will be 7.14%. The current rate, effective fromJanuary1,2026, through March 31, 2026, is 7.01%.
The rates are calculated using the U.S. Treasury's one-year constant-maturity rate for U.S. Treasury bills for the relevant quarter, and adding 3.5 percent.
