A contractor has been arrested for insurance fraud and charged with one count of Fraudulent Submission, one count of Theft in the Second Degree, and one Count of Fraudulent Practice in the Second Degree. He is also charged with one count of Failure to Appear on one count of an Animal at Large. The man filed a claim for weather-related damaged to his roof. He filed a claim and received the actual cash value payment. However, instead of making the necessary repairs, he painted part of his roof to make it look different and created a fraudulent invoice from his construction company for the supposed repairs in order to receive the recoverable settlement.
