A man was charged with one count of insurance fraud and one count of attempting to obtain property by false pretenses, both felony offenses. The man reported his vehicle as stolen and tried to collect $1,800. Investigators determined that the vehicle had not been stolen but was at a local repair shop where the man had dropped it off for repairs.
