The New Mexico Office of the Superintendent of Insurance (OSI) published a bulletin providing information to insurers on the 2026 annual appointment renewal process for New Mexico agents.

Insurers will be given an appointment invoice that will be available on the NIPR website from January 5, 2026, to April 30, 2026. The invoice will include a list of all resident and nonresident agents, and payments may be submitted starting on January 5, 2026. If an insurer doesn’t pay the invoice by the deadline, all appointments will be terminated.

Any appointment made after December 27, 2024, will not be included on this invoice, but will be subject to the 2027 renewal date. Agents terminated by December 26, 2025, will not be included on the renewal list.

The NIPR renewal processing fee is 1% of the total fee charged, with a minimum fee of $5 and a maximum fee of $1,000. NIPR processing fees are nonrefundable.
