The Missouri Department of Commerce and Insurance published a bulletin informing personal property and comprehensive private passenger auto insurers in the state of a Data Call relating to 2025 severe weather events.
The data call is asking for information about severe weather event claims in 2025, including the recent May 16 tornado. The data is necessary to assist federal, state, and local officials in helping affected residents, and it will allow the Department to assess the impact of the events.
The following policies should be included: homeowners, dwelling, personal fire and allied lines, renters, condominium owners, mobile homeowners, and any other similar type of personal property policy. Claims paid due to weather events under comprehensive private passenger auto coverage should also be included.
The instructions and data call template can be found attached to the bulletin. The report must be submitted through the NAIC Reporting Portal. The first report should contain the 2025 cumulative claims data reported as of June 16, 2025, and it is due by June 25, 2025.
The bulletin can be found here.
