The Louisiana Department of Insurance announced the repeal of Rule 7 from the Louisiana Insurance Code in accordance with the Administrative Procedure Act.

Rule 7’s intent was to establish uniform guidelines and requirements for legal expense insurers doing business in the state. However, the Department of Insurance no longer uses it as guidance and has deemed it obsolete. Rule 7 has been repealed in its entirety.

A copy of Rule 7 can be found here.
