The Louisiana Department of Insurance published a news release providing information on the next round of the Louisiana Fortify Homes Program (LFHP). The next round will open at 8 AM on Wednesday, February 12, and will close at 5 PM on Sunday, February 16.

Eligible homeowners must register during the signup period. Anyone who participated in a previous round but was not selected can register again in this round. Winners will be selected by a lottery system, so timing of registration does not matter, as long as it is during the signup period.

This round is limited to residents living in Louisiana’s Coastal Zone, Lake Charles, Sulphur, and Westlake counties. Homeowners can see if they reside in the Coastal Zone by entering their address on the Coastal Zone Map.

This round will consist of 1,000 grants being awarded, adding to the 1,800 grants issued since the inception of the program in 2023. Winners will be notified via email.
