The North Carolina Department of Insurance (NCDOI) published a press release announcing the opening of Victim Assistance Centers (VACs) to assist those impacted by Hurricane Helene in the counties of Brevard, Marion, Jefferson, Lenoir, Sylva, and Old Fort.

The VACs will be available to provide in-person assistance with insurance claims and other needs to consumers. NCDOI plans to open additional VACs in other locations in the near future.

The VACs will all be operating from 9 AM to 4 PM:
