A woman has been charged with one count of insurance fraud and one count of attempting to acquire property by false pretenses, both felony offenses. The woman filed a claim with her insurance company for damages totaling $1,946. However, she did not live at the property where she claimed the loss occurred. She has been released on a $5,000 secured bond.
