The New Mexico Office of Superintendent of Insurance published a newsletter informing producers that they are offering a temporary insurance producer license while in the process of switching Insurance Examination Vendors. The temporary license will last 90 days.

Resident candidates can apply for a Temporary Insurance Producer License through the National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR). Applicants are required to submit fingerprints to apply for the license.

Testing will be temporarily unavailable as OSI switches exam vendors. Starting October 21, 2024, candidates will be able to schedule their exams on the PSI website. Exams will start seating on October 31, 2024. Candidates who pass the exam will be able to apply for their Insurance Producer License through NIPR.
