A man who claimed to be the lienholder on a vehicle titled to a person whose identity had been stolen was arrested and charged with insurance fraud, obtaining property by false pretense and two counts of car title application fraud, all felonies. He is accused of receiving $4,306.07 by submitting a letter to an insurer claiming to be the lienholder of a vehicle titled to someone whose identity had been stolen. The man submitted a forged signature on the auto's title to the department of motor vehicles. He was released on $5,000 unsecured bond.
