A woman has been arrested and charged with one count of Insurance Fraud – Presenting False Information and one count of Theft in the 2nd degree after an investigation by the Fraud Bureau of the Iowa Insurance Division. Both charges are Class D Felonies. The woman provided false statements to her insurer in support of a claim for damages under her renters insurance. She received $2487.34 which she was not entitled to.
