A man has been sentenced to 12 months probation for one misdemeanor count of a fraudulent insurance act. His auto insurance policy had cancelled and he was driving uninsured when he had an accident. He then claimed that he had reinstated his policy before the accident, which he had not actually done. He pleaded guilty and received a sentence of 12 months probation with 30 days underlying prison time if he violates that probation. He was also fined $500.
